I co-authored a proposal for $100,000 towards the improvement of VAR Edu as a permanent learning space on the Behrend campus. This is being pursued in collaboration with Behrend‘s IT Services. The mechanism is offered by Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT), a department out of Penn State University Park that we have established connections with.
The proposal includes all the infrastructure needed for a new classroom. Tables, chairs, a lectern, projectors, projector screens, whiteboards, and sound systems. It also includes infrastructure needed for immersive content integrations such as soft seating with a high degree of mobility for seated user spaces and short throw projectors for unique interactive experiences.
