In late 2021, as part of the VAR Lab at Penn State Behrend, I had the opportunity to participate in a $100,000,000 Erie-Region Economic Development Grant through the Build Back Better Program.
VAR Lab’s piece was $1.65 million towards the establishment of a VAR Industry strategic unit focused on bringing immersive workforce training, augmented manufacturing solutions, and immersively-aided innovation to the Erie region.
Unfortunately, our proposal did not get selected to move on to the next round of the selection process. But it was still a phenomenal experience to have participated in.
